The Chair will call the meeting to order. With great respect and humility, we acknowledge and honour the lands of the Snuneymuxw people. The Snuneymuxw people maintain their profound, unique and spiritual connection to the land through ageless traditions, teachings, stewardship and expressions of reciprocity.

The Chair called the meeting to order at 6:32 pm.

Item 6.4 - Board Correspondence from D&A Mahony be added as Item 7.3 under New Business.

There were no deletions.

Mark Walsh provided the Board with the preliminary surplus allocation.  An Information Sheet is attached to the Agenda.

Re:  Appointment of Election Officials

    That the Board of Education of School District No. 68 (Nanaimo-Ladysmith) appoint Secretary-Treasurer Mark Walsh as the Chief Election Officer and Manager, Administrative Services, Karen Matthews as the Deputy Chief Election Officer pursuant to Section 58(1) of the Local Government Act.

Staff and Trustees discussed the contents of the correspondence and thanked the Mr. and Mrs. Mahony for their email.
